The Non-Sugary Treats You Can Give on Halloween Night

Posted .

If you’re interested in giving out more smile-healthy treats and treasures on Halloween, then our dentist, Dr. Catherine Boenitz, has some recommendations for you! There are a few things you can hand out on Halloween night that can keep the children coming back for more. Our dentist is happy to tell you about those things.

The first thing you can hand out are glow sticks. Everyone likes glow sticks! The sticks will light the way for all trick-or-treaters in the neighborhood. They can also add spark to a costume, help little kids who are afraid of the dark, and help parents keep an eye on their little witches and ghouls, no matter if the treat is a stick, bracelet, or necklace!

The second thing you can hand out is sugar-free gum. This is a great treat for the kids because they can pop bubbles with the gum as they visit houses, and they can also rinse the bacteria away from their teeth and gums because chewing produces saliva!

The third thing you can hand out are Halloween trinkets. These can be anything from spider rings, Halloween bouncy balls, or kazoos to Halloween invisible ink, monster finger puppets, or Halloween yo-yos! You can find fun little trinkets at the discount store, and the kids will enjoy them!
